QUESTION:
Can you tell me if our firm is pre-qualified to perform work on Iowa DOT contracts?
ANSWER:
The Iowa DOT does not maintain a "pre-qualification list". The Iowa DOT pre-qualification process is done during the proposal submittal for advertised RFP. If you can explicitly explain how your firm is qualified to perform the work being advertised as necessary in the RFP, your qualifications will be noted when scoring the proposals. Pay special attention to the grading criteria as that is what your proposal will be evaluated on.
